Use a small dosage of coffee when you brew.
You may also try our Peru, Finca La Encanada, this is an easy going smooth coffee.
The easiest and simplest storage method is in a sealed container and in a cool, dark, dry place. For example your kitchen cupboard where you store your dry goods.
If you prefer to store your coffee in the fridge or freezer it is best practice to keep it in a Cryovac or similar type of bag. This will prevent the coffee from becoming contaminated by the other food in the fridge or freezer.
Freshly roasted coffee tastes best within one month of the roast date. Coffee will drink and taste fine for the following few months. When stored correctly coffee doesn't go off.
• Try and buy your coffee as close to the roast date as possible.
• Buy a grinder and grind your coffee fresh, this will make a big difference in flavour and quality.
• Heat up your brewing gear with hot water before brewing your coffee.
• Follow these simple brewing ratios:
French Press 55g per litre.
Pour over 80g per litre.
Espresso 18 – 22g in per 50g of coffee.
Peel Street Espresso Blend is the best option.
Or if you like fruity and an acidic style coffee try our Colombia, Juan Restrepo or Peru, Finca La Encanada.
