Tabe Burka Washing Station is located in the Uraga district. It was built in 2008 by Guji-native leader, Tadesse Edema.
Hailing from a coffee-oriented family of 29 brothers who all work in the industry, Tadesse has uplifted Uraga by building schools and roads in the area to support the community. He also protected his smallholder farmer groups from tumultuous regulations affecting the local economy. In 2019, these regulations were finally lifted. Tadesse can then directly export his top-grade coffees to Fineprint’s green coffee supplier.
With a cup that is clean, complex, and enticingly sweet, this single origin features tasting notes of peach, black tea, and citrus. It is easy to see why Uraga has increasingly gained a reputation for producing some of the most distinct coffees of Ethiopia.
